In 'Mondo' each player builds his own world of exotic animals and landscapes. All act simultaneously, and a timer indicates when the planning stops. The game lasts three rounds after which the player with the most points has won.
c
The timer is set an agreed amount of time; this is how long a round lasts.. Players simultaneously take tiles and place it onto their board according to certain placement rules. After the time is up, players score for their tiles, for instance each player scores one point for each animal, but each active volcano scores one minus point.

In the advanced game, players score for most landscapes, largest lake, most seas, largest forest and most water animals. Additional conditions concern things as having at least three elephants in the same savannah, and the like. The game can be played solo as well.

In essence, 'Strasbourg' is an auction game in five rounds. Each player has his own set of number cards. These are shuffled, and at the start of a round players take as many as they wish - but they have to consider there are five rounds, so taking too many cards in one round will certainly leave them with less cards in a future round. These cards are used for the bids.

There are five auction tables that each game can be put in a different order. A token is worked from top to bottom. First, players bid on 'A'. The highest bidder here gets to place his token at the emperor space, the second highest on the bishop space.
After this alternately the guilds are worked and a trade is held. The highest bidder in a guild may place a tile on the board and eventually pays for it. Money can be obtained in the trade phase where goods can be exchanged for money.

The last two bids are made for the white token and a city tile from the display. These are important to fulfill certain assignment cards that the players have taken.

Usually this involves the white token to be adjacent to a tile, or a given configuration with a white token or the player token next to it.
Players may take as many assignment cards as they like, but when not fulfilled, these score minus points.
