We have seen this game before: 'Heartland', being announced for more than two years, now finally has come down to 'Eine Frage der Ähre' . The title goes two ways: 'Ähre' is ear (of wheat), but the pronounciation of this word is the same as 'Ehre', which means honour. Since 'A Matter of Honour' would only cover half of the title, I would suggest to completely go away from it and name it 'Heartland'...!

At the start of the game, players get three double field tiles, and five single ones. In a turn, they either place a tile on the field area for direct points, or they use it as farm points where they advance with their cube. The double field tiles are refilled after each turn.

When all their cubes have advanced to the same height, and if there is a farm on that reached level - depending on the number of players these are placed on different levels, they may place it on the field area and collect each and every following turn points for the size of the field of the same type of crop it is on.

When a player has a large field, other players will try to decrease it by placing their tile of a different type of crop over any area of this field. Each player has two farms.

'Modern Art' never was a beauty, but this rerelease neither seems to bother about its look. Box from Pegasus Spiele, board by Editions du Matagot.
